Radical Firearms RAD-15 5.56mm NATO 16in Black Semi-Automatic Modern Sporting Rifle

The Radical Firearms RAD-15 delivers the perfect combination of precision, durability, and modularity in a 5.56mm NATO modern sporting rifle platform. Built to MIL-STD specifications, this AR-style rifle features a 16-inch barrel with a 1:7-inch twist rate, ensuring reliable stabilization of a wide range of bullet weights. The RAD-15’s free float 15-inch RDR rail system not only enhances accuracy by eliminating handguard contact with the barrel, it also dissipates heat more efficiently under sustained fire, keeping your hands cool and comfortable during extended shooting sessions.

Mil-Standard Receivers and Barrel Assembly
Radical Firearms constructs the RAD-15 upper and lower receivers from 7075-T6 aluminum, guaranteeing rock-solid strength and resistance to wear. The 16-inch cold hammer-forged barrel is chambered in 5.56mm NATO for widespread ammunition compatibility. A 1:7-inch twist rate maximizes performance with heavier 62–77 grain bullets, making the RAD-15 ideal for precision target shooting, training, home defense, or tactical applications.

Advanced Free Float RDR Rail System
The 15-inch Radical Defense Rail (RDR) free float handguard is engineered for ultimate versatility. Its continuous top Picatinny rail aligns seamlessly with the receiver rail, providing a full-length optic mounting platform for scopes, red dots, or iron sights. M-LOK slots at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock positions let you attach lights, grips, lasers, bipods, and other accessories exactly where you need them.

Ergonomics and Controls
Designed for both novice and experienced shooters, the RAD-15 features ambidextrous magazine release, safety selector, and bolt catch/release controls. The B5 Type 23 pistol grip offers an ergonomic hand angle and rubberized traction for a secure hold under recoil, while the B5 Bravo collapsible stock provides six-position length-of-pull adjustments and a comfortable cheek weld. These features make it simple to configure the rifle for shooters of all sizes and shooting positions, ensuring rapid target acquisition and consistent follow-up shots.

Reliability and Durability
All critical components of the Radical Firearms RAD-15 are finished with a matte black hard-coat anodizing process for corrosion resistance and scratch protection. The rifle has been tested under extreme environmental conditions to guarantee dependable performance in the field. From the Mil-Spec trigger group to the chrome-lined gas system, every part is optimized for longevity and low maintenance, allowing you to focus on shooting rather than upkeep.

Performance and Ballistics
The 16-inch barrel length strikes the ideal balance between maneuverability and muzzle velocity. Expect muzzle velocities in the 3000–3200 fps range when using standard 55–62 grain 5.56 NATO ammunition, delivering flat trajectories and effective terminal performance out to 300 yards and beyond. The free float barrel and quality barrel profile reduce barrel whip and harmonics for tighter groups at all distances.

Applications and Flexibility
Whether you’re engaging steel targets at the range, competing in 3-Gun matches, or adding a reliable carbine to your home defense plan, the RAD-15 adapts readily. Install a magnified scope or low-power variable optic for medium-range precision, or mount a red dot and offset iron sights for close-quarters speed. The 30+1 magazine capacity keeps you in the fight longer, and the rifle accepts all standard AR-15 magazines for widespread ammunition options.
