Shipping & FFL transfers
Firearms ship to a licensed dealer near you. F1 Firearms handguards, barrels and BCGs, plus ammunition, magazines and accessories, ship to your door where the law allows.
Shipping cost
- $29.99 flat rate per order.
- Free shipping on orders over $999.
- Your FFL dealer charges their own transfer fee, paid to them at pickup (commonly $20 to $50 in Texas; call to confirm).
How a firearm gets to you
- Choose a dealer. Any federally licensed (FFL) dealer who does transfers: most gun shops and many pawn shops and sporting-goods counters, in Houston, Dallas, Austin, San Antonio, Fort Worth or wherever you are. Call first to confirm they accept shipped transfers.
- Enter the dealer at checkout. Name, city and state is enough; the FFL number helps if you have it.
- We confirm the license. We get a copy of the dealer license before the firearm ships.
- Pick up. Bring a valid government photo ID. The dealer completes ATF Form 4473 and the NICS background check with you, or may accept a current Texas License to Carry in place of the NICS call. Texas has no waiting period.
Handguns must go to a dealer in your state of residence. Long guns can go to a dealer in another state only where the sale is legal in both states. We never ship a firearm to a home address.
Which F1 Firearms parts count as firearms
- Ship to your door: handguards, barrels, bolt carrier groups, muzzle devices, gas blocks, charging handles, lower parts kits, stocks, grips and complete uppers.
- Ship to your FFL: stripped lowers, complete lowers, matched upper/lower receiver sets and complete rifles. These are serialized firearms under federal law, and you must be 21 to take a stripped lower or receiver set from a dealer.
When it ships
Items from our own shelves, including F1 Firearms parts, usually leave within 1 to 3 business days after payment clears and, for firearms, once we have your dealer license. You receive tracking by email. All of Texas is served by standard ground delivery; a few remote addresses in the Trans-Pecos and the Panhandle are reached by freight or a carrier pickup point, and we contact you if yours needs a different arrangement.
Items from partner warehouses
Catalog items ship from partner distributors instead of our shelf. These usually ship within 1 to 3 weeks, and we email you if yours will take longer. If we cannot ship an item within 30 days of your order, we tell you and refund it in full, or you can choose to keep waiting.
Ammunition
- Ammunition ships to Texas addresses with no permit, license or dealer transfer. Texas places no restrictions of its own on ammunition purchases.
- It travels by ground or freight only (never air), so it usually arrives after the rest of your order.
- An adult (21+) signature may be required on delivery.
- Federal dealer age rules apply: 18 for rifle and shotgun ammunition, 21 for handgun ammunition.
- Some other states and cities restrict or ban direct ammunition shipments, including California, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Illinois and Washington, D.C. If we cannot ship legally to your address, we cancel that item and refund you.
Magazines and rifle features
Texas has no limit on magazine capacity and no state assault-weapon law, so standard 30-round magazines, AR-15s and AR-pattern receiver sets ship to Texas normally. Other states and cities restrict certain magazines, features and firearms. If you are shipping a magazine, receiver set or accessory outside Texas, check the rules where it is going; we will not ship an item to a place where it is prohibited.
Restricted items
You are responsible for making sure what you order is legal where you live and where it ships. If an order cannot be lawfully completed, we cancel and refund it in full. We do not sell NFA items (suppressors, short-barreled rifles or shotguns, machine guns). Our Texas gun law page collects the statutes; it is general information, not legal advice.
