Overview

The Radical Firearms AR-15 RPR (Radical Precision Rifle) in 5.56 NATO is engineered for shooters who demand performance, reliability, and ergonomic comfort. Mounted on MIL-STD upper and lower receivers, the 16-inch Black Melonite barrel offers outstanding durability and corrosion resistance. The 15-inch RPR free float rail system ensures pinpoint accuracy by isolating the barrel from pressure or torque, while allowing the shooter to attach a wide variety of tactical accessories. Whether you’re on the range, in competition, or defending your home, this AR-15 platform is designed to exceed expectations.

Precision Barrel and Caliber

Chambered in the popular 5.56mm NATO caliber, the 16-inch barrel employs a 1:7 twist rate to stabilize a broad range of bullet weights for enhanced versatility. The Black Melonite finish not only offers a sleek tactical look but also provides superior surface hardness and wear resistance compared to traditional coatings. This premium finish keeps your rifle looking and performing great through heavy use in all weather conditions.

Modern Sporting Rifle Design

The Radical Firearms AR-15 RPR is built on a Mil-Spec lower receiver that houses the adjustable Mil-Spec M4 stock, offering a comfortable cheek weld and length-of-pull adjustment for shooters of all sizes. The M4 grip delivers a natural hand position that reduces fatigue and promotes faster follow-up shots. An optic-ready upper provides a flat-top Picatinny rail for mounting red dots, scopes, or backup sights, ensuring your rifle is mission-ready from the moment you unbox it.

15-Inch Free Float Rail System

A hallmark of the RPR series is its 15-inch free float rail. By eliminating contact between the rail and barrel, the system ensures the barrel remains free of external stress, greatly improving shot-to-shot consistency and accuracy. The modular design allows for ample rail space for lights, lasers, grips, and bipods. The cutouts in the rail aid in heat dissipation and reduce overall weight without sacrificing stiffness.

Durable Construction and Reliable Performance

Constructed with Mil-Spec 7075-T6 aluminum receivers, the Radical Firearms AR-15 RPR is strong enough to handle extended fire while remaining lightweight for maneuverability. The Black A2-style grip and Mil-Spec adjustable stock provide a secure hold and comfortable shooting experience. Internal components, including the full-auto profile bolt carrier group and chrome-lined barrel extension, deliver smooth cycling and long-term reliability.

Capacity and Control

The rifle ships with a 30-round magazine capacity for extended sessions between reloads. The ambidextrous controls, including a reversible charging handle and extended magazine release, make this rifle friendly for both right- and left-handed shooters. The semi-automatic action is crisp, consistent, and easy to maintain, ensuring reliable function under any circumstance.

Optic Ready and Accessory Compatibility

With a full-length top rail and continuous mounting surface, the Radical Firearms AR-15 RPR accommodates a wide variety of optics, iron sights, and backup aiming devices. The free float handguard’s M-LOK slots at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock allow for quick attachment of lights, lasers, foregrips, and sling mounts. Swap accessories in seconds to adapt to new mission requirements without specialized tools.

Versatility for All Shooting Applications

From precision target work and varmint hunting to tactical drills and competitive three-gun matches, this AR-15 platform excels in any role. The 5.56 NATO cartridge is widely available and affordable, providing minimal recoil and high velocity performance. Shooters can expect consistent groups at extended ranges, while the ergonomic controls facilitate fast transitions and tight shot strings.

Maintenance and Upkeep

Field stripping the Radical Firearms AR-15 RPR is quick and straightforward. The Mil-Spec take-down pins allow one-person disassembly for cleaning and lubrication. The corrosion-resistant Melonite finish reduces the need for frequent refinishing, and the chrome-lined barrel extension resists wear from repeated brass expansion. Routine maintenance ensures years of dependable service.
