Radical Firearms MHR 5.56mm NATO FR-16 Modern Sporting Rifle

The Radical Firearms MHR 5.56mm NATO 16in FR-16 is a top-tier modern sporting rifle designed for shooters who demand reliability, accuracy, and modularity. Built on the proven AR platform, this Colorado-compliant rifle delivers consistent semi-automatic performance with a 10+1 round capacity, making it an ideal choice for target shooting, competition, hunting, and personal defense.

Precision-Engineered Barrel and Accuracy

At the heart of the Radical Firearms MHR FR-16 is a 16-inch cold hammer-forged barrel chambered in 5.56mm NATO. The 1:7 twist rate optimizes stabilization of a wide range of bullet weights, from lightweight varmint rounds to heavier match bullets. The black anodized finish on the barrel provides corrosion resistance, reduced glare, and a sleek tactical appearance, ensuring your rifle stays protected in all field conditions.

Durable Receivers and Free-Float MHR Rail System

This rifle combines a billet 7075-T6 aluminum MHR upper receiver with a matching lower receiver, engineered for strength and lightweight performance. The free-float MHR rail system offers uninterrupted barrel clearance for enhanced accuracy while providing ample mounting real estate for optics, lights, lasers, foregrips, and sling mounts. The integrated Picatinny rail on top allows seamless installation of red dot sights, magnified scopes, and backup iron sights.

Ergonomic Controls and Trigger Performance

Featuring an ergonomic AR-15 style pistol grip and adjustable buttstock, the MHR FR-16 adapts to shooters of all sizes. The ambidextrous safety selector, magazine release, and bolt catch ensure smooth operation in dynamic environments. The crisp single-stage trigger delivers a clean break and short reset, allowing for precise follow-up shots and tighter groupings.

Black Anodized Finish for Durability

The entire rifle is finished in a hard-coat black anodizing process that locks in subdued low-glare protection against scratches, rust, and wear. This finish extends the rifle’s service life in adverse environments, from dusty outdoor ranges to humid coastal regions, maintaining a professional tactical look without the risk of oxidation or loss of finish.

Colorado Compliance and Magazine Capacity

Designed to meet Colorado state regulations, the Radical Firearms MHR FR-16 features a fixed 10-round magazine restriction without any permanent alterations to the receiver. The 10+1 capacity allows you to load ten rounds in the magazine plus one in the chamber, ensuring you remain within legal requirements while maximizing on-demand firepower.

Performance and Versatility

Chambered in the versatile 5.56mm NATO cartridge, this rifle performs reliably with a wide range of ammunition types, including full metal jacket, hollow point, and match-grade loads. Whether you are zeroing in at 100 yards on paper targets or engaging steel at 500 yards, the MHR FR-16 offers consistent ballistics and minimal deviation from point of aim.
