Buying a rifle online in Texas
This rifle ships to your chosen Texas FFL, where you complete Form 4473 and the dealer runs the NICS check. Buyers must be 18; the state sets no waiting period, no registration and no magazine limit. Any centerfire is legal for whitetail, rimfire is not, and feral hogs on private land need no license at all. Our guide to Texas hog and deer rifles matches calibers to the country you hunt. Confirm the season in the TPWD Outdoor Annual.
