F1 Firearms FDR-15 Overview

The F1 Firearms Forged Defense Rifle (FDR-15) sets a new standard in modern sporting rifles by combining MIL-SPEC durability with enhanced manufacturing tolerances. Built entirely in the USA, this AR-15 platform rifle delivers exceptional performance, consistency, and reliability right out of the box. Featuring a precision 7075-T6 forged handguard, match-grade 16-inch SS spiral-fluted barrel, and a factory-installed Sightmark MTS Mini Solar Red Dot sight, the FDR-15 is optimized for hunters, competitive shooters, and tactical enthusiasts alike.

Premium .223 Wylde Chambering

The FDR-15’s .223 Wylde chamber is engineered to safely fire both .223 Remington and 5.56×45mm NATO ammunition without sacrificing accuracy or reliability. The Wylde chamber’s hybrid design balances the tighter tolerances of a .223 Remington bore with the robust pressure handling of 5.56 NATO, delivering consistent groupings and reliable cycling in all shooting conditions. Whether you’re training at the range or engaging targets in the field, you’ll appreciate the versatility and performance this chamber offers.

Match-Grade Barrel & Handguard

At the heart of the FDR-15 is a 16-inch stainless steel, spiral-fluted barrel with a 1:8 twist rate. This match-grade barrel is machined to exacting tolerances, ensuring superior accuracy and rapid heat dissipation under sustained fire. Surrounding the barrel is F1 Firearms’ proprietary 13.7-inch M-LOK handguard, crafted from 7075-T6 aluminum. The free-floating design maximizes barrel rigidity and allows for effortless accessory mounting without adding excessive weight.

Sightmark MTS Mini Solar Red Dot Sight

This exclusive holiday package includes the Sightmark MTS (Mini Tri-Power Solar) red dot optic. The MTS features an integrated solar panel for extended battery life, multi-coated optics for a crystal-clear sight picture, and multiple brightness settings for daylight and low-light operations. The compact form factor enhances the rifle’s balance, providing quick target acquisition and improved follow-up shot speed.

Ergonomics & Controls

The FDR-15 comes standard with an ergonomic S7M grip and a six-position Mil-Spec carbine stock. The crisp, single-stage trigger offers a clean break and tactile reset, ensuring precise shot placement. Ambidextrous controls, including safety selector and magazine release, cater to both right- and left-handed shooters. The rifle’s overall length of 32.03 inches (stock extended) strikes an ideal balance between maneuverability and stability.

30+1 Capacity & Reliability

Chambered in .223 Wylde, the FDR-15 accepts standard AR-15 magazines and ships with a 30-round magazine for high-capacity shooting. The robust bolt carrier group and buffer system handle a variety of ammunition loads with ease, reducing malfunctions and ensuring consistent performance over thousands of rounds.

Every component of the FDR-15 is manufactured in the United States. From the forged upper and lower receivers to the barrel and handguard, F1 Firearms invests in domestic production to maintain rigorous quality control and support American industry.
