Discover the Diamondback Firearms DB-15 Modern Sporting Pistol

The Diamondback Firearms DB-15 Modern Sporting Pistol elevates the AR platform into a compact, powerhouse package. Featuring a 7-inch chrome moly barrel with a black nitride finish, this pistol delivers outstanding reliability, corrosion resistance, and enhanced wear properties. As an innovative dual-caliber solution, the DB-15 arrives with two complete upper assemblies—one chambered in 5.56mm NATO and the other in .300 AAC Blackout—empowering shooters to switch calibers quickly and effortlessly by swapping upper receivers. Whether you’re behind the barricades in competition, defending your home, or pursuing game in the field, this pistol delivers the versatility and build quality you demand.

Premium Build and Ergonomics

Built from the ground up in the USA, every Diamondback DB-15 pistol begins with a forged 7075-T6 aluminum lower receiver, ensuring rock-solid strength while keeping weight to a minimum. The mil-spec lower is paired with a durable pistol buffer tube and a popular Magpul MOE pistol grip, offering a secure, comfortable interface between you and the firearm. The direct-attach Magpul grip enhances control during rapid fire, minimizing felt recoil and muzzle rise—traits appreciated by competitive shooters and home defenders alike.

Dual-Caliber Versatility

One of the standout features of the DB-15 is its dual-caliber capability. The package includes two fully assembled uppers: a 5.56mm NATO unit and a .300 AAC Blackout unit. Thanks to direct-impingement operation and standard AR-15 takedown pins, caliber changes take mere seconds—no specialized tools needed. Optimize for flat trajectory and light recoil with 5.56mm NATO, or switch to .300 AAC Blackout for subsonic performance and superior barrier penetration. This level of adaptability makes the DB-15 invaluable in diverse shooting scenarios.

Nitride-Treated Chrome Moly Barrels

Diamondback selects cold hammer-forged chrome moly vanadium steel for its barrels, then applies an advanced black nitride finish. Nitride treatment not only protects against rust and corrosion but also reduces friction for smoother cycling and extended barrel life. With a 1:7 twist rate, both barrels stabilize a wide range of bullet weights—from light supersonic loads to heavy subsonic projectiles—ensuring consistent accuracy and reliable ignition.

Lightweight M-LOK Handguard

The free-floating M-LOK handguard provides a modular mounting platform for lights, lasers, grips, and other tactical accessories. Its lightweight aluminum construction keeps overall pistol weight down, while the full-length continuous top rail offers plenty of space for iron sights or optics. M-LOK slots on the sides and bottom allow shooters to customize their setup without adding bulky, unnecessary weight.

Ergonomic Controls and Sights

Standard AR-15-style controls—including a 90-degree safety selector, bolt release, and magazine release—ensure intuitive handling for users familiar with the platform. The DB-15 ships with low-profile flip-up iron sights, allowing for instant deployment and co-witnessing under a variety of optic heights. The pistol also features an A2-style birdcage flash hider to reduce muzzle flash and conceal shooter position in low-light engagements.

30+1 Capacity for Extended Sessions

With a single 30-round magazine, the DB-15 Modern Sporting Pistol offers extended shooting sessions between reloads. Whether pushing steel at the range or engaging targets in a defense scenario, the generous capacity ensures you stay on target without interruption. Magpul polymer magazines are recommended for reliable feeding and durability under continuous use.

Ideal Use Cases

Home Defense: The compact 7-inch profile makes maneuvering in tight spaces simple, while the dual-caliber setup lets you tailor recoil and terminal performance to your preference.
Sport Shooting: Transition between calibers for varied competition stages, from precision targets with 5.56mm NATO to suppressed stages using subsonic .300 AAC Blackout.
Hunting: Lightweight and portable, the DB-15 handles small- to medium-game hunting applications with ease, especially when paired with subsonic hunting rounds in .300 AAC Blackout.

Long-Term Reliability and Maintenance

Maintenance is straightforward: field strip the pistol like a standard AR-15, clean the gas system and barrel, and lightly lubricate moving parts. The nitride finish reduces fouling adhesion, extending cleaning intervals and preserving accuracy. Every DB-15 pistol undergoes rigorous inspection and test firing before shipment, guaranteeing consistent performance from day one.

Package Contents and Warranty

Your purchase includes two complete upper assemblies (5.56mm NATO and .300 AAC Blackout), one lower receiver with buffer assembly and Magpul pistol grip, a charging handle, two 30-round magazines, and a removable A2-style flash hider. Diamondback Firearms stands behind the DB-15 with a limited lifetime warranty against manufacturing defects, ensuring your investment is protected for years of dependable service.
