Diamondback DBAM29 9mm Luger Overview

The Diamondback DBAM29 delivers a compact, high-performance 9mm Luger solution for concealed carry and personal defense. Built around a corrosion-resistant stainless steel barrel and a durable black nitride slide, this sub-compact handgun weighs just 22 ounces unloaded, making it easy to carry all day. The polymer frame in Flat Dark Earth provides a lightweight yet rigid foundation, while the integrated Viridian laser enhances target acquisition in low-light scenarios. With one 12-round and one 17-round magazine included, the DBAM29 offers flexible capacity options for training or duty use.

Design and Build Quality

Every aspect of the DBAM29 has been engineered for reliability and ergonomics. The 3.5-inch barrel features a match-grade crown for improved accuracy, and the black nitride slide finish stands up to harsh environments. Diamondback’s sub-compact profile conceals easily under clothing, yet full-size grip ergonomics ensure a positive purchase and natural point of aim. Front and rear three-dot sights provide a clear sight picture, and the textured grip panels offer confident control under recoil.

Performance and Reliability

Testing under extreme conditions has proven the DBAM29’s consistent performance. The stainless steel barrel and bore deliver tight groups at self-defense distances, while the low-mass recoil spring and optimized slide geometry reduce felt recoil and muzzle rise. The pistol’s simple, striker-fired action features a short, crisp trigger pull with an integrated safety mechanism for added peace of mind. Whether you’re running drills at the range or carrying on duty, the DBAM29 maintains smooth operation and quick follow-up shots.

Concealed Carry Features

Sub-compact frame dimensions—6.49 inches overall length and just 1 inch wide—make the DBAM29 exceptionally easy to conceal in an inside-the-waistband holster or appendix carry rig. At 22 ounces, it’s comfortable for extended carry without compromising readiness. The Viridian green laser module mounts directly to the rail, offering precise aiming point in all lighting conditions. Featuring ambidextrous slide stop controls and a reversible magazine release, this pistol accommodates both right- and left-handed shooters.

Included Accessories

Every DBAM29 package ships complete with one (1) 12-round magazine and one (1) 17-round extended magazine, allowing users to configure capacity based on local regulations or personal preference. A custom-fitted holster is included for secure carry, and the factory-installed Viridian green laser is powered by long-life batteries. A soft case and user manual round out the kit for immediate deployment.

Maintenance and Durability

Diamondback’s DBAM29 is designed for fast field stripping with no tools required. Regular cleaning is straightforward: remove the slide, barrel, and recoil spring assembly, wipe down contact surfaces, and apply a light coat of lubricant. The nitride slide finish and stainless barrel resist corrosion, extending service life even in humid or coastal environments. Replacement parts and factory accessories ensure the pistol stays mission-ready for years to come.
