Buying a handgun online in Texas

Handguns ship to the Texas FFL dealer you name, and you must be 21 to take the transfer. The dealer completes Form 4473 and the NICS check, or may accept a current Texas License to Carry in its place. Since September 2021 a qualifying adult 21 or older can carry a holstered handgun without a license, and DPS still issues the LTC for reciprocity. Our Texas License to Carry guide explains both.
